As a subsidiary of Vakıfbank, one of Turkey’s leading local capital stakeholders, Vakıf Emeklilik carries the legacy of a strong foundation culture. Its ownership structure comprises 53.9% T.C. Vakıflar Bankası TAO, 37% Güneş Sigorta A.Ş., and 9.1% other shareholders.

Headquartered in Istanbul, Vakıf Emeklilik operates with 13 regional offices, a direct sales team, and agents to deliver its products to customers. The company collaborates with Vakıfbank and Tekstilbank for distribution through an extensive bancassurance network and works in partnership with Aktif Bank.

Project Overview

To enhance operational efficiency, Vakıf Emeklilik initiated a pilot project focused on reporting call center interactions and collection statistics. For this project, the company chose D-CAT Technologies, leveraging its expertise in the SAP BusinessObjects product suite.

Starting in October 2014, the project involved transferring selected tables from the AS400 system to the Teradata system for BusinessObjects reporting. Using SAP Data Integrator, Vakıf Emeklilik’s data was processed through ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) with exceptional speed. A data warehouse was established, enabling the development of reports and mobile dashboards.

Key Deliverables

  • Agent Scorecard Application:
  • A single-page PDF-compatible scorecard was developed to summarize all information about an agent, including user performance and data.
  • Data Warehousing and Reporting:

A robust data warehouse was created, incorporating advanced reporting capabilities and mobile dashboard functionalities. D-CAT Technologies, known for its successes in mobile technologies, business intelligence, software development, and innovation projects, takes pride in completing another impactful project:

“We are delighted to bring our extensive expertise in business intelligence to Vakıf Emeklilik, one of Turkey’s leading institutions in the individual pension and life insurance sector. In an era where BI 2.0 and even BI 3.0 are being discussed, business intelligence projects have become indispensable for organizations striving to gain a competitive edge. At D-CAT, we are proud to have utilized the latest methodologies in BI project management for this project with Vakıf Emeklilik, enabling more efficient analysis and enhancing their performance.”
