Başarı Hikayeleri

The “SAP BI 4.1 Migration” project played a pivotal role in helping Şekerbank achieve its goal of maximum efficiency. Founded in 1953 in Eskişehir as Pancar Kooperatifleri Bankası to meet the financial needs of sugar beet producers, Şekerbank now operates 312 branches, 11 regional directorates (3 in Istanbul and 8 in Anatolia), and 1 international representative office. With 77% of its branches located in Anatolia, Şekerbank’s subsidiaries include Şeker Yatırım, Şeker Factoring, Şeker Leasing, Şekerbank Kıbrıs Ltd., and Şeker Finans.

As a significant player in the banking sector, Şekerbank partnered with D-CAT Technologies for its Business Intelligence project aimed at maximizing efficiency. D-CAT Technologies utilized its expertise in the SAP BusinessObjects product suite to execute the project successfully.

Project Highlights

In March 2014, the project began with the migration of Şekerbank’s SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) Platform from version 3.1, previously used as a decision support system for data transformation, to version 4.1, a revolutionary platform offering cutting-edge mobile information access technologies.

Key achievements include:

  • Consolidating two separate SAP BI 3.1 environments under a single structure and migrating all reports to SAP BI 4.1.
  • Providing users with unified access to reports through a single platform.
  • Solving prior performance issues using the 64-bit cluster architecture of SAP BI 4.1.

During the migration, 10,000 reports were tested. The project was completed in 80 man-days over three months, delivering significant support in achieving Şekerbank’s goal of maximum efficiency.

This successful migration to SAP BI 4.1 underscores Şekerbank’s commitment to leveraging modern business intelligence tools for operational excellence.
